Pistol setup

Recoil spring tuner

Get a starting recoil spring weight range based on your power factor, pistol profile, and whether you run a dot or comp.

Choose the pistol configuration closest to yours. This sets the baseline power factor and spring range used by the estimate.

Defaults set base spring and power factor targets per division.

Enter the projectile weight used in the load. It combines with velocity to calculate power factor.
Enter average chronograph velocity from this pistol and ammunition lot.
Enter ready-to-fire weight including the unloaded magazine, optic, light, and compensator when fitted.

Include optic/weapon light.

Select a slide-mounted optic or compensator/porting because added slide mass and redirected gas can change the spring weight that cycles reliably.
Balanced keeps the baseline recommendation; soft shifts lighter; faster return shifts heavier. Treat all results as a starting range and function-test safely.
