This soft checker highlights when your velocity jumps beyond expectations. Always validate against published data before loading.

Published or previously established average velocity for the same load, barrel length, and comparable conditions.
Average from the current chronograph string. Do not use a single shot as the comparison value.
Current ammunition temperature minus the temperature associated with the reference velocity. Enter a negative number when colder.
Change from the reference cartridge setup. Negative means seated deeper into the case; positive means seated farther out.

Negative = deeper seating.
